Project Participants were from Namibia ( Christiana and Claudia), Portugal ( Angela & Margarida baby, Celia, Teresa; Mila, Augusta, Raquel); Mexico ( Patricia) and observers from Italy (Petra) and Germany (Christiane). Later Petra initiated the group in South Tyrol. This seminar was prepared using the process of ‘Derive’ as experimented by international situationists mouvement, inviting participants to make a drift staring in the harbor. Angela prepared a beautiful notebook for the drift , it was given to everyone as a welcome gift and instrument for collecting notes. We walked around, in silence and sometimes between laughs, observing the landscape, the exotic volcanic stones, the small vignards, the potent presence of the blue and the magnifique sound of the Atlantic ocean. After a couple of hours the group decided to sat under the umbrella of dragon trees to talk about the drift and the project. Christiane invited the group for a visual mapping activity and Bela Dutra told us the stories of the flora in the island. In the end of the day the group left to take the last ferry to Faial. |
