'MERE DESH KE DHAAGE ' (Threads of My Country).
Textile Cartography exhibition by the students and faculty of the Fine arts in Jamia Millia University of New Delhi, India was a great experience of its kind. The opening of exhibition was on 14 August 2024 to celebrate the Eve of 78th Indian Independence Day. Many colleges of different universities of India participated in this first such show.  Since they are professionally trained in fine arts, this initiative has given them a new feel of textiles as material. Stories from Kerala

I am Abdul Hamid and I am a Muslim. When I was just nine year old, one day my mother sent me to the grocery shop to settle the old accounts. I was given Rs. 5/- which was considered to be a good amount during year 1974. I lost my money by the time I reached shop. I had no courage to go back home without money, so I was crying while walking up and down the narrow road leading to my house. It was getting dark when uncle Menon (my Hindu neighbour), who was considered to be a notorious person (as he was alcohol addict), approached me with genuine concern and listened to my problem. He hugged me compassionately, went to the shop with me and cleared the accounts with his own money. He also baught some fish for me and dropped me back home. I could not repay this amount to him, but around 25 years back when i started organizing the addiction camps, I went to his house and convinced him to attend this camp to get rid of his alcohol addiction. He agreed and attended my second camp on de-addiction. Since then he is leading happy and respectful life. we mutually helped each other.
This story is very important for me in present situation when differences between Hindus and Muslims are in increase.

I am Farzane Parveen (a woman) from Kerala, India. Recently I got the opportunity to travel by road in hills with my friends (all women) on bikes. This was a life changing experience for me and for all my friends. We all felt very happy, confident, stress free and above all independent. We thanked each other for the wonderful moments spent together. We are already planning another trip to learn and LIVE MORE.

My life journey - Vahid
I am Vahid from Kerala, India.
I was not a good student and I failed twice in my SSLC exams (12th standard in school). I cleared this exam successfully in my third attempt. I was bullied by my elder brother on my failures a lot.
At present, i am an effective teacher. This is an achievement for me, after poor performance in studies during my childhood.

Suicide and Schools
Navas has sketched the issue of suicides by school students. Their unbearable stress and fear of bad performance. Pressures from school, parents and society to do better in percentage. Insecurity of not getting admission in good courses due to low percentage. And no courage to express ones own opinion and choice are the factors forcing them.
NAVAS KOORIYAN,

Hi I am Athiya, a woman from Kerala, India. I want to share the positive memories of COVID - 2019 period and how did it impact my life forever. My movement was restricted to the four walls of my house. Worried not only about my health but health of my mother who was in her late 70s at that time. Noise of Ambulances all around, WhatsApp groups announcing bad news about friends and families everyday and non-stop flow of advisories and guidelines on do's and don'ts from health departments. Fake news and rumours were adding to the situation of fear and insecurities.
On other hand, online platforms was giving way to form new communities for social interactions and endless opportunities of self empolyment. Like many others, I too joined the fastest routes of connecting with people and learning new skills everyday. This was a very happy experience for me. I felt connected to the world and librated too.
The Covid was over in 2022, but i am enjoying the online mode, which is fastest and also economical.
