To celebrate the Textile Cartographies Movement, started in 2021/2022 as
a participatory arts-based project, we invite submissions that embody the
values, beliefs, practices and futures of our Collective. Contributions from
community members, artists, researchers and teachers examining their
engagement with issues at the forefront of this Movement are welcome,
as well as commentaries on exhibitions, documentation of techniques
and related modes of inquiry. Submissions include traditional essays,
commentaries, visual essays and other art forms. We invite submissions
that amplify themes, including but not limited to:

• Crafting Together: Contemporary Textile Practices
• Coming Together: Agency and Democracy in Glocal Communities
• Caring Together: Ecological and Environmental Initiatives
• Composing Together: Feminist New Materiality as Social Activism
• Connecting Together: Personal Well-Being and Community Engagement

PROPOSALS Submission date: February 20, 2026
Authors will be notified by March 30, 2026 and invited to submit their work.


For proposals, include:
• Proposed title of chapter
• 300-500 word abstract
• All names and affiliations of contributors
• Contact email
